I have 17 VCRs (6 Beta, 11 VHS) Dating from 1978 till 1992. I love any analog tape format! I have around 80 Beta tapes and around 120 VHS.

I still use VHS to record my home security cameras onto. I trust it better than a DVR system.

I've been watching Dr. Who on VHS in order. I was in a mood to start with the 4th doctor, so I started with his first story about a month ago. I'm still watching 4, but my plan is to just loop back around and start with the 1st doctor after I watch the 8th.
And I just picked up 2 working JVC VHS/DVD combo players at a thrift store last week too.

Time to bump this thread back to life....
I'm still using VHS daily. I use it for recording reviewing surveillance as it's easier to view than a DVR. I still watch a lot of movies on VHS and still record a lot of stuff on VHS. Why not keep using it? Movies are 25 cents in the thrift stores. If the movie sucks I can record over it. Also just bought Panasonic Omnimovie PV-200D off ebay today. Some months back, I picked up an RCA camcorder in carry bag with manual and accessories. I'm at the 1500 mark on vhs movies. Got around 30 vcrs including a dual deck.

Wow 1500 tapes. You've got me beat by close to 1000 tapes. Good to see someone else still wanting to make video on VHS.

Well, it's probably 9 years of collecting but sometimes I'll bring home 15-25 tapes in one run but I hit a great lot when I went to a thrift store and scored around 120 horror tapes. I'll always use tape. I have blu-ray and DVD but tape is my hobby.
