Hate to tell 'em, but $40 would be more reasonable.

Very nice camera head, looks like a RCA TK-30/31. Man if only this was in Australia, I would apply for a loan and would buy it for sure, expensive yes but these cameras are a rarity and this camera head looks to be in great condition.

"Take out a Loan", indeed. I can only imagine what shipping costs for sending that bad boy to Oz would be...And what would you end up with when it got there ? A boxful of bent metal & glass shards ?...Helluva shame...

One of my collector friends in Victoria who has old Australian PYE broadcast cameras from the late 50s is importing a couple of RCA TK-60 heads from USA, the shipment price is nearly $1000.

You buy this baby for the lenses! Oh, if it only had the viewfinder hood.

Ho-Lee Merde' !! (grin) Like I got room to talk...I spent $2750 on a gun I've NEVER shot, & furthermore have absolutely no intentions of shooting...A fancy Belgian Browning BAR w/the prettiest stock I think I ever saw on a gun..."Coin" finish engraved receiver... Its one of my "Brag" pieces...We take it out, show it off, drool over it a little bit, I get to get a smarmy smug look on my face-Like "N'yah, N'yah...Lookee what I got...An' YOU Don't !!"....

Actually, based on the handles, I'd say this was a TK-11/31.

A very tempting camera, It may be common in the US but very rare in the UK, anyboby coming this way with some spare luggage allowance??

I recon it's a TK11/31 too.

It is the 11/31. The 11 was the studio version. The 31 was the field version. Not sure what the difference is.

Lot's of work to be done here. I had my 31 re-painted by a body shop who found the original "umber-brown" two-tone paint job under the later RCA blue paint job mine had.

The chrome on the carry handles is a satin finish...not the glossy done to the camera at the NBC store at Rockefeller Center.

And then you need the RCA suitcase power supply, sync generator, camera control unit and the video switcher not to mention the Mitchell spring-head, the oak field tripod, the RCA field dolly, the viewfinder hood and the T-handle to tighten the head to the camera.

Pete's site had a photo of my camera until his ATT demise. I rescued a version of it from oldradio.com and my thanks for preserving it.

Or you could score this one for the lenses, RCA meatballs and chrome television script. Not much out there these days.
