One of these sets has come up for sale in my area, they tell me that someone valued the set at $3000 and they are asking $2400 and say the picture tube is shot. Anyone have an idea what the value truly is?

Those figures are in the ballpark, though if the tube really is no good that reduces the value considerably.

The Westinghouse set the 3 ladies are watching sure looks like the Westinghouse 22" color set in the photos & ad I've seen. Other then the Westy 22" color I saw at Steve K's home. I saw one other at a used TV store/repair shop in Westwood, Ca. many years ago.

Months ago, I ordered a copy of the eBay print and could see no evidence of the convergence panel in the shadows. A photo of my set from approximately the same angle (with bright front flash) *does* show the panel (see my photo in post 14), but I can imagine that detail could easily be lost in the shadows of the eBay print or if the photo was taken at a *slightly* different angle.
Today, with renewed interest, I tried viewing the print with a strong backlight, and some additional detail in the shadowed area became faintly visible. I am convinced that I can see the front edge of the convergence panel *and* the "color" knob as well. I am convinced that the set in the print is, indeed a 22" color Westinghouse.
