link didn't work
SteveH,
Thanx for bringing these to our attention. That is a nice historically important early color equipment catalogue, but pricey as you say. I couldn't get the other second link to work. If anyone is looking for good DIY repair books to help with restoration of the early color sets I cannot recommend the two RCA Pic-To-Guides produced on the subject by John Meagher more highly. The first one is copyright 1957 and the second 1964. These show up on ebay occasionally. Mr. Meagher was in charge of the RCA national service division. Rob |

RCA catalogs
Steve, when I was a kid in the 50's I wrote RCA and asked if they would send me some info on their tv cameras. They sent me every broadcast equipment catalog they had plus a huge book of scale pictures of their equipment that you could cut out and assemble into 3D models in order to layout your proposed studio. Not bad for a 12 year old. Those were different times.

Different times? I'll say.
That's totally cool, Stevo!
