Anyone remember "The Twonky"?
wWas looking to see if this old Hans Conried movie that scared the wits out of me as a kid was available on DVD. Saw this first when I was a kid, sick, home from school, on the "Dialing For Dollars" daily movie. TVs spooked me for years afterward! Especially the "dot" when you'd turn off a TV.
Doesn't seem to be available on video, but I did find selected cuts on YouTube! EDIT: Old link died after 8 years, this is a working link to the movie as of June 2017: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMIo5Yv0YgI Last edited by Ed in Tx; 06-20-2017 at 07:14 AM. |

Always liked ol' Hans...He always seemed to play exasperated, "put-upon" types...

When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of "The Gonk", that maddengly memorable tune from the 1978 George Romero flick, "Dawn of the Dead"...Talk about an Earwig...

The only movie to star a 1951 Admiral 17K12 and mention both it's model number & viewable screen size (~16").
