Does anyone have know how these are on flybacks? Do they eat them like the ctc 17 style rcas?
I have a crt for that set but have a feeling the fly would be almost impossible to find. |

Naw, the 11s are easy on FLYs. Just make sure you have good sweep and HV tubes, check HO current, and it should keep on going. I used my 11 for a daily for neary 3 years and the fly never got beyond slightly warm inside the cage. I've got a spare chassis if I ever need it - but so far so good.
Can't say the same for the 12 and 17 I had.

Yeah, that looks like my cabinet except for different paint color on the control panel. RCA sure had a bunch of trim options for the CTC-11.
If someone gets it, I'd be curious to see a close photo of the upper two knobs (fine tuning and channel selector). Mine are replacements, which look purty good, but I'm not sure what's correct. I had to sand down the fine tuner to make it fit through that narrow hole. Phil Nelson |

Sixteen hours is too far for me - that's a pretty lonely part of the world up there - probably why it's still available.
