Recommendations for an analyzer.

I'm going to supplement my test equipment this week and need a little advice. I currently have a Sencore VG91 video generator and an SC3100 scope as well as a CR70 and CR7000 CRT tester/rejuvenator.

My choices are a Sencore VA62
Sencore VA48
B&K 1077

They are all about in the same price range, give or take $20.

Any advantages or disadvantages between the three, ease of operation.

Since I don't repair modern TV's anymore, it will be used for the old vintage tube sets.

Thank's for any advice.

About the only thing I see as missing from the VA62 that you might want for working on tube sets is the horizontal output plate drive. It has up to 300VPP grid drive, though.IMO, this is far outweighed by the flexibility and stability of the VA62.

The 1077B is a flying spot scanner, which allows you to make your own custom test pattern slides.

The VA48 is just an older version of the 62, without the digital programmable RF/IF frequencies. Nothing much to recommend a 48 over the 62 as the prices are comparable nowadays.

Hi All;
I think it would be dependent on what your Goals are.. If, you are going to do alot of trouble shooting or repair.. Or if you are only going to do an occassional Set.. And also, how far you are going to take it, Is is just for finding an occasional trouble spot, or if You plan on doing an alignment.. Please tell the guys what you plan on doing with said equipment..
THANK YOU Marty
