Zenith R450X clock radio
I think this is a 1980 model. I picked this one up because I've never seen one of these in the white cabinet before. One of the led segments isn't working. I put an arrow towards it in the picture, while it doesn't look that dim in the picture it really barely lights up at all. Is this likely a problem with the display itself (then I'll have to find another one to swap the display out of), or something else? I don't have schematics for anything this new.

I'd be inclined to think bad pull-up/current limiting resistor, but then again early LEDs had lower life expectancies, and if it has been running regularly all its life it may be approaching the life rating.

Some of the common R472 radios had a plug in clock IC
that gave trouble but I think this is the display....... 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

I left it unplugged all night, just plugged it in again, and now it works. I'll leave it on and see if the problem comes back...
