That's cute. It's like a miniature version of my laserdisc LaserKaraoke system.

Two set-up buttons. Many popular motors use one button. You press it once to make the dish go left (or east) and you press it twice to make the dish go right (or west). This can be confusing. This motor uses two buttons and has an LED indicator light next to each button. Press the right button and the dish goes right and the right LED comes on. Press the left button and the dish moves left with the left LED on. It is really easy to set up this motor. Last edited by svhs; 03-06-2019 at 09:44 AM. |

The "It's a Sony" stickers are hilarious considering how low consumer respect for the Sony brand have fallen.

BarKoder conforms to the LaserBarcode, LaserBarcode2, and Bar Code CD standards, providing a wide range of control options for CAV and CLV laserdiscs as well as CD-Audio discs. All standard commands are available, including chapter search, frame search, play, pause, as well as options such as audio channel select, audio on/off and such. In addition to all standard commands, options for special-effect commands such as slow-reverse play. The software program can be used connected to a Pioneer LaserDisc player via RS-232 for rehearsal of codes, or with the computer only for printout. Barcodes can be printed using any high resolution inkjet or laser printer, saved for later use, or pasted into any Windows application. A two line text description can be printed out with each barcode. Print formats conform to Avery labels and support most Windows printer drivers. Makes barcodes compatible with LaserBarcode, LaserBarcode 2, and Bar Code CD Last edited by svhs; 01-03-2021 at 02:52 PM. |

I own one of those Pioneer LD players. Never, had the barcode reader or remote and mine was almost scrapped.
Some ewaste place in texas listed it on ebay back around 2008 with $0.99 opening bid and $30 shipping....I got it for the opening bid and the seller tried to make money by cheaping out on the packing....It arrived in a damp crumpled cardboard box with a couple wadded up pieces of newspaper in the box. Before opening the box I knew it was going to be bad when I could tilt the box and feel the machine slide from one end to the other inside. The only good thing they did was bag it in plastic which saved it from being soggy. The loading tray mech was messed up from impact and the motor that moved the laser pickup had snapped off the carriage for the pickup....the mount part of the carriage it screwed too had snapped off along with the flex PCB section that soldered to the motor. I had to fix the loading tray, superglue the motor mounts back onto the pickup carriage, then solder wires from the motor terminals to the ribbon connector joints on the flex PCB to fix the motor.... One day I gotta get some episodes of MacGuyver on LD and play it on that machine. Quote:

You can't just post all those photos of the Laserdisc autochangers and not at least tell where you found those photos.

I did some research and that one was listed until yesterday on Yahoo! Auctions for 500000 yen, or about $5000 Canadian (shipping not included ). Have not checked if it sold, but it seemed there were a few of them for sale.
