Another New Guy :P

How's it going? im looking to get some help with my Dad's old stereo system..
its a Pilot HIFI Tower System
model number unknown, here is a image

i really want to get it fixed cause its very sentimental to me.. the problems i have with it, witch lead me to the amp is that there's no sound unless you turn it up all the way and you can just barley hear anything also its distorted i guess u can say. then i took off the backing and looked for something wrong and saw on the amp (it says amp on it lol) that two resistors have fried and a capacitor (i think it is) looked as if it had poped. i'll get some pictures a.s.a.p well i hope to gather some info as for my options and maybe help if i can.. thanks

Greetings,

I would discontinue using the system until you can get it repaired by a competent technician specializing in audio. You might have better luck on the sister site, audiokarma.org

Its basically like here except for all things stereo.

good luck!
