That has happened before... Another LA collector found a mint CT-100 in a printing store in Chatsworth, CA in the early 2000s. They had no idea what it was. The store owner had inherited the set from a relative, hauled it to the store, and put an ad in the local paper "Big old RCA TV not working $100". I picked it up for the collector who found it, and was quite envious!
