Next pc project for gaming. any thoughts?

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC/SC2/FTW3.
Kingston HyperX FURY Black 64 GB Kit CL15 DIMM DDR4 2400 MT/s (HX424C15FBK4/64)
ASUS ROG Maximus IX Formula LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 Z270 ATX Motherboard

Still haven't picked out my case, hard drive, cpu or power supply but I'm thinking core i7 for the cpu, a solid state hd, and a 1000 watt power supply. Any suggestions? Will all this be compatible?

You're on the right track (by choosing Nvidia, Intel, and ASUS, I mean), but determining compatibility is a bit harder than that. Hard drives are plug and play. Graphics cards are pretty much plug and play, except you need to make sure your power supply has the correct plug for the card. Also, ram is ram, it doesn't really need to be fancy, 64gb is massive overkill, and the clock speed of the ram, I've noticed, is often vastly higher than the ram clock speed supported by the mobo, so there's no sense in paying extra for 9001mHz ram when the mobo can only use it at 1800.

1000 watts might also be overkill, you probably don't need more than 600 or 700, despite what the gfx card people may tell you.

Why buy an expensive intel chip when a AMD Ryzen is as fast and much cheaper?

Well, me personally, I prefer Intel.

Besides, seems like this guy isn't exactly on a budget. I mean... Would you buy a Chevy if you had money for a Cadillac?
