Thank you all very much. The first time I was there, the doctor couldn't find out. The second time, they found a different doctor, and, he found a bad infection in my stomach, and, intestines..

The third time was partly my fault.. I had gotten permission to walk the hall for exercise, but, I walked too far. Two days later, I collapsed on both legs, and, was back at hospital.
They found out that I wasn't breathing well, and, was given a portable oxygen machine.
Oh, well.. God is taking good care of me.

Well, I wasn't as lucky ass I thought...
I had another attack the next Friday, ended up in hospital, was kicked out, and, got emergency help at a nursing home.. I was there for three weeks getting stronger. I just left yesterday. Will be getting extra help at home. I feel better. Still somewhat weak, but, a lot better.
This has been a rough time.
Thanks, guys.

These hospitals, no matter who runs them, have to be the biggest racket in the world.
Just last week, in Milwaukee, a large hospital kicked out a street person without shoes or coat. It was fortunate that the weather was a little warmer, but still a little too cold for someone to be dressed like that.
They could've dropped him off at the Salvation Army building, less than a mile away.
Then the have the nerve to call these "Non-Profit Organizations"

I wonder about this as well. Why on earth would a hospital "kick out" someone who needs medical help, particularly emergency help? The only explanation I can come up with for this is if the hospital finds out the patient doesn't have medical insurance. However, there are such things as charity hospitals (Florida should have at least one) that operate on private and/or public donations. There are people who are on fixed incomes or who are outright poor and cannot afford the high costs of health care, especially these days.

"Kicking out" anyone from a hospital for any reason, after all, goes against the purpose of hospitals in the first place; these facilities should be available to anyone who needs medical help (especially emergency help), even if it means taking the patient to a charity facility. I cannot imagine why the hospital Bill Cahill was in did this unless, as I mentioned, the hospital he was taken to, not to mention the one in Milwaukee which threw out someone without shoes or a coat, has very strict rules regarding payment for services. Even then, as I said, there should be emergency provisions for patients who cannot for any reason afford health care. Hospitals which make a habit of turning away patients are setting themselves up for potentially ruinous lawsuits if the patient dies because he or she was refused.

First, they kept saying I had nothing wrong. The doctor has a short fuse, and,, wouldn't talk to me. I got information second hand. They called the police, hurried me out,, and, put me by a door in the basement, calling a cab to take me home, or, to police station.
I spent a long time getting a nursing help because it was late Friday afternoon.
The nursing home found the problem, and, over three weeks, cured me.

In cold weather climates homeless have found that when they can't get into a shelter that if they claim/fake an injury they can get into a hospital and get warm for several hours...It is a sleazy practice that in excessively busy hospitals encourages the staff to make harsh decisions...It is one of those 'nobody is right' scenarios in my book.

However to kick out Bill who is obviously not homeless and not putting them on about his medical issues is HIGHLY negligent on that hospital's part....If I was Bill I'd consider suing them for malpractice or some such. You should have a good case since the home likely documented what they found and fixed.

Smile

I've been having acid reflux all day. Looks like my roofer backed out of the job.
I'm trying to settle down. I know God is with me, and, I appreciate your thoughts, and, prayers. I will be back. I promise.
I hope to do future postings on different subjects.
