Sony 5-303W PhotoFact/Schematics
Does anyone have copies of the schematics for these little antique sets?
Appears to be clean besides the broken antenna. I'll just take a trip out to Chesters Electronics in Kenosha, Wisconsin, get some new capacitors, and a NOS antenna for it. I assume it doesn't work. I'm going to test it when it comes in and see what it does. But I'm going to just assume it's broken. |

It might work. I have a Sony that was the world's smallest consumer TV set made in 1964...It still works great! But then again I have one just like yours that has a raster, but problems like no video/sound IIRC. Sony sets of that time are hit or miss. Some examples work great others need a bunch of going through.
You might want to check the sam's index for that set before going to Chester's since there are sam's manuals at Chester's.

I do there a lot for parts, they know me pretty well there. I refurbish a lot of my sets with parts from there. They have a great selection of old TV parts. I'm really hoping it functions. I'm great at repairing my small sets, but I tend to like it when they just "work", instead of needing extensive work. |
