Large GE AM Portable Radio
I recently got a large GE Portable radio like my uncle had in the mid 60's. Used to take it to the Adirondecks. It was the only AM radio that pulled stations during the day. Will try to attach a picture. New camera does not like the AK forum--pics too big. People also bought them for bomb shelters during the cold war. Anyone know the history on these radios and its FM cousin?
Lets see if I can send a pic Eric Last edited by stereofisher; 02-16-2005 at 07:43 PM. |

GE to this day sells a long distance radio: the Super Radio.

Ge
Only thing is that today's "Superadio" isn't as good as previous versions. Try to pick up a Superadio II if you want the best for dxing......
