CTC 5 tuner-s UHF VHF on Ebay HELP!

Did anybody here buy the CTC 5 tuners (KRK42A RCA tuner designation) with knobs off Ebay? I believe the pair went for about $350. They were VHF KRK 35A and UHF KRK 36D. They were sold on Ebay attatched to a bracket. The buyer may not even need the bracket they were attatched to.

The tuners were from a CTC 5 Wingate. I am attempting to put my Wingate together and am missing the tuner bracket. I hope to get the tuner bracket.

They were discussed here briefly but I cannot find the post.

OK! vintagecollect did not buy the tuners. Who did?

This is the CTC 5 Wingate cabinet I bought at an estate sale in August 2002. I paid $60 for the empty cabinet.

I could not find the thread where I posted the pictures of my Empty CTC5 Wingate cabinet.

I have been making progress on finding parts for the Wingate. I got a CRT mask, safety glass, all three speakers, purity ring, CTC5AA main chassis and all the knobs. I also have the back w/o the CRT cup. Anybody have a crt cup?

I need the yoke, blue lateral magnet, 21AXP22, convergence assembly, tuners and tuner bracket. Could also use the small knobs on the controls behind the control door.

I really do not want to whack another CTC 5 for parts. I am at that point to put this set back together.

There are only three known Wingate CTC 5 sets extant.

Any help with locating the buyer of the Wingate tuners on Ebay would be greatly appreciated. Any offers for my needed parts would be appreciated also.

Hey Rich,

Thanks for posting the pix. Looks lik your Wingate has the French Walnut finish. Very nice. Only two of the CTC-5 full door models w/UHF-VHF tuners have the horizontal set up on the front panel. Your Wingate and the Arliss model. The other two full door models have a vertical set up. All other CTC-5 models have the tuner controls on the cabinet side. I don't think the brackets are interchangeable. If you can locate the tuners, a bracket could be fabricated. As for the control knobs in the pencil box, these are very common RCA types used in many b&w and color models in the '50's.
