Advertising Banner on VK

I logged on just now and found this Targeted ad banner at the top of the page.

They obviously don't know who they're dealing with!

Internet advertising companies....They would advertise a glue factory on a horse rescue forum.

Might be funny to get the biggest 90's projection set you can find, completely fill the cabinet with rocks, and ask them to take it.

Or like a advert on a classic auto forum saying "We will take away your old heep for free"

I did not click on the ad but I wonder if they take TVs in dozens if I clean out over here. That means 18 wheeler loads.

I once had to drive my friend to a dealer because he needed a new car. I drove in my Caprice (which is a 383 beast sleeper), and as I parked, I was the one who got swarmed by the dealers wanting me to trade in my Caprice for "cash for your clunker".

Yea this was during that stupid cash for clunkers program, which destroyed a lot of good cars. I forget who was responsible for that. But anyway, it's like these ads, they really targeted the wrong person, and honestly, with the rumble they must have heard coming in from a nicely tuned small block, I was a bit pissed off they'd call it a clunker.

I lost count years ago.Like many of us. Got sets in the shed, basement, garage, spare room and absolute junk sets under a tarp on the back patio..No bulk pickup here .People just curb stuff and hope somebody like me come around and take it home.I think the neighbors would want to see a dozen or two TV set stacked up at the curb.
