Yes it's a CT-100. Grab it if you can ASAP! Worth MUCH more than the asking price especially if it works like he said.

I sent an email and asked if that is the "actual" tv in the picture or a generic pic from the internet. I have not yet received an answer.

Oh yeah, that one. I was amused that it was in use up till 6 months ago.
Strange that the hoax thread and this one are geographically only 30 miles apart... Royal Oak to Lyon=29.7 miles according to Google maps.

If we assume that this is not a scam, then the photo, lousy as it is, indicates a CT-100 that could be a near pristine set. Look at the gold trim strip along the top of the photo. Note the overall luster of the wood. Check the color of the metal strips that secure the safety glass: bright, not the usual dull look.
If I were interested in another CT-100, I'd definitely be checking this one. The CT-100 in this picture never spent years in a barn or damp basement, or some other uncontrolled environment. However, the 'it works' statement is suspect of course, but I'm getting curiouser and curiouser. Pete |
