Apropos of nothing - but I thought this might be enjoyed here
I was scanning something from a 1964 Heathkit catalog for AK... saw this page and thought "hmm, oughta scan that and post to Videokarma".
Here 'tis, FWIW :-) Heathkit 1964 color TV by mhardy6647, on Flickr

Thanks for the memories! My dad wouldn't buy a color set to save his life, and I remember going to the local appliance store in a plaza to look at the color TVs while my parents were food shopping down the way at that time, 1964, 65... Always had the Heathkit catalogs, too.

Our first was a CTC-4 that my father secured from one of his customers when they upgraded (middle '60s) :-)

My dad got one of those funky SeaRs mini consoles 1964 65. iT worked well about 3 days, and then he got one of the 1st Portacolors, which lived til about 1972 73.

I have a Portacolor from Kamakiri :-) It's a project for some day restoration... right now, it gets only DSN (the Dogbert Static Network).
