Built in color

Currently offered on e-Bay, a formerly built into the wall color tv. I don't know if this was a home brew affair. RCA did offer their "Mural" tv kit which included a chassis, pic. tube and mask for custom in wall installation. Anyone have experience with this kit?

e-Bay item: 2550585026

Sorry I can't provide a direct link.

e-Bay links

Thanks Jack for the link up.
The folks at Web-tv (now MSN-TV) tell me that their service doesn't support the ability to post links to certain secure sites like e-bay.

Imagine trying to use something like a Motorola VT-71 with WebTV? Talk about eye damage!

Squint tv

That Motorola would be a step up. You should view Web-tv on my Sinclair micro-vision set. Actually I use an RCA 32". It's nice to sit in the ole' recliner and browse AudioKarma from across the room

Wow, that guy is some salesman huh?

One 2nd grade level sentence to describe it, bad photo of a pile of parts, working condition unknown, zero feedback, and a buy it now price of only $200!

I can't believe it doesn't have any bids!

in wall color set

When I was in high-school (during the 80's), some friends of mine down the street had one of these in-wall TV installations. Their house was built in the early 60's and was a very "modern" style. The TV was installed when the house was built, but did not work in the 80's. I remember it having a round picture tube. My friend's dad didn't bother with the set any more because he wasn't interested in buying tubes for it to keep it going. Besides, they had one of those big projection sets I remember seeing at Sears. There were doors that they kept closed over the in-wall set.

My friend's parents still live there, and remembering this makes me want to call and ask if that set is still in the wall. I would think by now they would have removed it, but maybe there is a small chance it could still there. I am getting off the ship in a week, so maybe I'll put this on my "to-do" list once i get home.
