Exclamation TV Treasures

I thought it might be a good idea to put all the eBay sightings here in one place, they usually tend to get scattered all over the place and drop out of sight before the auction ends so a Sticky will take care of that problem.

This is the thread to post any B&W eBay TV auctions that might be of interest.

From the earliest Mechanical up to the Predicta would be OK, anything Color or later model could go in the appropriate Forum.

This thread was a great Idea Eric.

I prefer organization of auction finds, craigslist with a sticky like this rather than having to look around for them later.

As ebay auction web pages are transient, and the pictures uploaded to Audiokarma (usually!) last much longer, be sure to add model numbers (if known) to go with the pictures. After a while, this thread would accumulate a museum of sorts of pictures of old TV sets.

I agree with Wa2ise in to post the link along with a pic and some interesting facts from the auction or listing for reference later when the link goes dead on whether its Ebay or CL. Usually by the time someone posts a link to a CL entry the item has been sold and is deleted so this would work out great in those cases. Since most of the pics are reduced in size for posting on Ebay or CL then they shouldn't bog down AK server space to much so we can enjoy them hopefully in the future. Maybe just post the best pic for each entry instead of multiples. Great idea Eric! I'm surprised none of us though about doing this sooner.

Rca 8-tr 29

Here is a RCA 8-TR 29 table set with AM radio, in a blonde finish. Kinda rough, but you don't see many in blonde from this era. And the AM radio they squeezed in under the CRT is a good touch.

Bakelite Admiral

Slight problem with the CRT and the chassis looks a little rusty.

Chocolate TV, anyone?

OK, it is not a TV, but an interesting TV ephemera item. Maybe a bit pricey though...

1954 RCA Victor Television Combination Model # 21-T-393

This is a really attractive set. A bit too new for me, but someone should give this one a home. (more photos on the auction page....).
