STAR -- Unknown Radio

Hi All;

I have acquired a STAR Radio (Mfg. Co.) of Oakland Calif..

Does Anyone know anything about these Radio's ??

It has a tapped Vari-Coupler (think Transformer), two Variable Capacitors of different sizes, one is about half the number of plates as the other one, and two Filament Rheostats..

It is missing it's Transformers and Coils and any Capacitors and Resistors..

It is a 3 Tube set, using "01A's".. The Vents show patent dates of 1923, and 1924..

I am thinking it's a Regenerative set, with the two different sizes of Variable Capacitors, but, because of the 01A tubes, that would lead me to think it is a TRF type of set..

Would the two different size of Capacitors work in a TRF style of Radio ??
As far as tuning goes ..

Anyway, any information about this Radio would be Greatly Appreciated..
