Battery Life

I'll bet somebody knows what sort of life (hours) can get from d cells as an A battery. Two projects I'm thinking of. One is a 2v SW-3 toobs are two #32 and a #30. That would bring the current up to 240ma@2v. Could use a rheostat to set voltage from 3 down to two. The other is the regen I just built. Uses a 201A which is 5v@250ma. Works fine @4v maybe 200ma. So what do ya think? How long will it run? O btw I'm cheap I get the dollar store batteries.

I have an article for a 2v regulated supply that uses 2 D cells. It will continuously pump out 2 volts, even with nearly dead batteries.

Throw me an email at batterymaker at gmail dot com if you're interested.
