I pulled the back on the one I was asked to fix and it has a bonded yoke Thomson/RCA tube.

I have a 27" and a 32" Zenith AVI series sets. I believe the 32" has a Sylvania CRT. At one time I had a 36" Sony WEGA and I liked the picture better on the Zenith. Plus it had more inputs, loop throughs and connectiability than the Sony. I think they are from around 1995.

If you really wanted to preserve one, it's not that hard to install a different brand CRT. They're not exactly unique.
A FEW philco predictas are not built as badly as most. They have a cold chassis and look to be MUCH better made than most others. Not sure which models, seems it was the ones with the metal cabinet for the chassis, and maybe the vertical ones.

I'm not able to look right now, but I believe Phil Nelson has one of the transformer sets, in additin to one of the hot chassis ones.
