I'm going to take a guess and say that it is from the matsushita era.
And correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that these set, although "less collectible" might be better performer than the motorola models of a few years before. Last edited by Dreamsbeard; 08-10-2013 at 10:55 AM. |

Yeah, it's a Matsushita TV from around '77.

Would you agree that those are stronger performers than the Motorola?

For a portable yes they are better. I dont know if Moto built a SS set under 19" so can only compare to the hybrids I remember. We wernt in a heavy motorola area. Sold Quasars for a while as a second line after Admiral gave it up. Ran nice but lots of FBT's went in them. Also the other Panny problems... 73 Zeno |

I think the best Matsushita-era Quasar's were during the mid '70's to very early '80's. I wasn't too crazy about most '80's Matsushita/Panasonic/Quasar TV's - too many smoked flybacks, too many weak CRT's, too many bad solder connections/low quality PC boards, and/or a combination of the above.
