I know I should sit back and enjoy, but...

I know the yoke slides back and forth for purity and coverage, but what does the inch or so of rotation do? Does it allow you to level the image on screen? The reason I ask is that I'm being slowly driven crazy by the tilt to the image. I notice it when there are images on the screen that go from one side to the other (menus, lines, news crawls, etc.). I can see that the image starts off on the left side at one point and ends up a half inch lower on the right. While it's not really noticeable during standard viewing, I know it's off so I'm always looking for it.

I know the tube is level.

P.S. Yes, this is the Avanti.

Rotating the yoke will cause the picture to rotate also.
You can straighten your picture by turning the yoke but you may have to touch up the convergence after you do so.

I've gotten pretty good using the convergence controls. The rotation might account for the problem I've had trying to get the blue at the right side of the screen to join up with the already merged red and green.
