Picture Leaving a Edge Line(s)

My 1986 RCA Console has started to leave a solid line around the far right side of the picture tube. Also, sometimes after TV is on for awhile it causes a horizontal solid line at the very top of the picture.

Neither of the lines have become bad enough yet to distort the picture, but if you look real close or come to black screen it makes them more noticeable.

Is this a easy fix for someone or is it a sign of an expensive repair bill looming?

I have adjusted the Horizontal/Vertical knob and this does help the top horizontal line, but then cuts the scroll information on the bottom of the picture tube off.

Thanks for any heads up on this problem.

Do you mean a black area, like the picture is shifted to the left and down? A photo would help.
