Edison C-2 radio phonograph

I just happened on this youtube video demonstrating a record played on an Edison C-2, which it says was restored by Chuck Azzalina.

I lost Chuck's email, so I'm posting my questions here.

I was wondering what year this is and what the pickup mechanism is?

The pickup is standard horseshoe style magnetic pickup of the era, but the stylus assembly is modified with a diamond stylus attached at right angle to the armature to play vertical cut DD records, if you install a steel needle in the armature it can play lateral cut records also

The pickup assembly rotates to make it easier to install the steel needle as the arm has limited vertical range.
