Hi, I am just getting ready to drive over there from here in Virginia. I sent the auctioneer asking them about a preview of the items. The item viewing for this event will be Friday evening from 4-6pm at the museum. Maybe I'll see you there. I'm the 62 year old guy with the white beard.

I really don't know why they are closing. I don't think that there were enough visitors to support it. (IMHO)

The museum they are located in kicked them out. They needed the space to expand their own collection.

I heard that the Mormon Church is planning to dedicate a small exhibit on Farnsworth in Salt Lake City. I wonder if they bought out the museum, and are selling off items not needed in their plans? The Farnsworth family is still active in the Mormon Church in Pacific Palisades, CA, as far as I know.

I got this Farnsworth banner at the auction. It says television and radio at the bottom of the banner. I bid on another 1940 Farnsworth banner but bidding went too high. I bought a Magestic radio which had a Magestic radio/tv adverstisment booklet inside. I'll post pictures of the Magestic tv from the booklet in a separate thread.
