Unhappy Sad end for a roundie console

Was watching some Beavis and Butthead shows on Youtube, and this was seen in a video. Skateboarders having trashed a roundie console.

Don't know what brand it was.

Man, that's sad. That roundie could be an RCA if I had to guess. RIP....

I can't tell what brand that is but I doubt RCA. Maybe Philco or an even more rare brand like Setchel Carlson or Packard Bell.
Looks like an extremely rare TV and now I may never watch Beavis and Butthead ever again. This time they really went too far!

That a Sucidal Tendencies video?

Looks like a generic CTC-15 clone. Heck, there's how many million out there.

Coulda been a '4 or a '2....

The bezel looks like a sears silvertone to me. I wonder why some people just have to destroy tv's. It is like they hate them for some reason???

From the lack of tuner knobs or other controls on the front, I'd guess it's a gutted/empty cabinet, perhaps even with a simple pane of glass put in place of the CRT.

That'd be a lot safer for a stunt like that anyway.

I know what you mean. Look on YouTube at the number of videos there are of TV's getting smashed. A great deal of them are smashed by kids who appear to have the IQ level of a rock.

I think probably kids like to destroy TV sets because they think that this act will produce nice and big explosions.

A couple months ago I saw a guy shooting a modern set with a pistol on youtube. He even wrote on the screen, I hate old tv's. Vary strange indeed.
I think he was the same dude that posted a picture of them burning a round rca set on ak a few years ago.

One can only hope that as a last act of defiance, these noble old veterans somehow manage to send a shard or 2 of glass into these young miscreants' eyes, teaching them a valuable lesson...

I wondered when that BnB video 'd be mentioned on here...

I've helped smash a few TVs in my time, but they've only ever been low-end b/w late 80s portables or 70s-vintage non-rare UK sets. We of course did it for the implosions - at long range. (after the first time when my (already!) totally-blind mate dropped a breezeblock through the upturned screen from above his head - highly dangerous)

That looks nauseating, I won't even watch it. However, here's "Black Hole Sun" from 1994, Soundgarden, with a 21 inch General Electric tv with the coaxial speaker on the bottom. Enjoy!
