Picked up a Blonde 8TS30 today
Bought this set off eBay on it's second go around, It's missing all the tubes including (most of) the CRT, also missing the lid, but it has the knobs and the back.
I have a Mahogany 8TS30 with a good CRT and a terrible cabinet, it has the lid though so I can re-veneer it and make it Blonde, it also was missing the back so now it's complete. As imperfect as this set is it's 100 percent better than the one I have. Note the third picture and you'll see what I meant by "missing most of the CRT" it looks a little gassy to me. |

Very nice! IMO the best looking TV RCA ever made.

Very nice! I have always preferred the styling of the 830 over the 630, and finding one in blonde is a big plus IMHO. Sounds like a great project to restore/build a lovely example of a landmark design.

I lost out on one of those at the last ETF auction. They are the best looking 10" RCA IMO and the blond just makes it better.

Well the light brown knobs are all present along with the channel 1 number plate.
I believe the question of why a 1948 model would still have channel 1 has been brought up before, I can't remember what the answer is. |
