About half an hour ago my son's cat Sarak died under his bed. Dutifully, my son buried him deeply in the backyard. Before he died he spent time with me in my bedroom. He was quiet and looked to be at peace with himself. From now on there will be a missing place in my life. For my son, the cat selected him as his master and protector at a shelter and until death was faithful. We all miss him greatly!

Please accept my condolences. I have a 15 yr. old cat who has survived a number of problems (bladder stone, problem thyroid) and had been doing well but now has a major issue (may be IBS!)...it's difficult to watch a long-time pet decline and am not sure if the malady can be addressed. Good luck with finding a new companion.
