Ge 7-2660d
Hello. I have a GE 7-2660D AM-FM radio that I bought at an antique mall. This morning, when I unplugged a pair of headphones, the radio lost sound. Now, I can't get it to emit any sound through either the built-in speaker or headphones. It does the same thing on both AC and batteries. I notice when I plug it in, I can hear the power transformer hum. Would anyone know what is wrong? Thank you

Odds are either the headphone jack is bad or it broke off the PC board.

Update. it plays through the headphone jack. The built-in speaker plays, but it's very quiet and distorted. Could that be a blown speaker?

If the headphone audio is good and loud it could be a blown speaker, but it more likely is dirty or damaged contacts in the jack...The jack is both a connector and a switch. It has to cut out the speaker when you plug in your phones...Depending on the circuit design some also have one or two resistors they switch in and out to keep them amp safely loaded, and or protect the headphones and your ears from damage.
