Buying on ebay uk

When buying a tv on ebay uk I some times see "may not post to usa". is that because the seller does not want to mess with shipping to the usa or is there some uk regulation? Seems like the ones I would like to buy are listed that way. I have bought from the uk on items listed as ships world wide.

In general, it's the seller not wanting to be bothered with filling out customs forms, etc, and paying the extra shipping. Especially for something large like a tv. You could always message the seller, provide your zip code, and ask if they will ship to you, and if so, how much extra they might want for shipping. Then when it gets here, it *may* incur extra customs fees that you'll have to pay. That's a maybe though, never had it happen to me, but then, I've never bought anything as big as a tv from the UK.

Many eBayers won't ship internationally; usually UK sellers will ship throughout the EU*. Your best bet is probably to use a forwarder. There are several in Europe. I've had good luck with easy-delivery.com, and Parcl for larger items. They'll give you a virtual address in the EU, receive the product you bought, and ship it to your home address.

It isn't cheap, but it works.

Shipping a 15" Zenith bugeye from US to Spain cost $180, and it arrived in about five days.

*you'd best hurry, the UK only has a few more weeks left as a part of Europe unless everyone comes to their senses, which looks increasingly less likely.
