Sencore CR70 for Parts/Repair

I have a complete defective CR70. The restore functions work but the testing functions do not. It is complete with late manual(has web address on cover) and all adapters.

$60 + ship for all. If no interest I may part out pieces/adapters

Thanks,

Jon

Does it have the 70* 21" color CRT adapter?

OK: My CR-70 will test some tubes and others will not test, especially the filaments. but when I hook the same tube to my B/K tester the filament will light ?

It should be on the reverse of the 7 adapter, if it's there.

According to the pic, it looks like all adapters are present except for the universal adapter.. Looking at mine, color roundies are on the flip side of 7, which is 8..

My 7 does not have a reverse side, so I am missing #8. It does include the universal adapter, it's apparently not shown in the image.

My 7 adapter has no flip side either. I think the most recent versions didn't include the color roundie, nor the old standard black and white connector.

The universal adaptor is nice to have for the old b&w tubes. And as long as you have adaptor #2 (opposite #1) which is for the old delta gun types, you can make an adaptor for the roundies.

Salvage a male end of a 90 degree brightner and connect a roundie socket to it. Just follow the color coding on the leads and you're all set.

Yeah, opposite of my #7 adapter is just a blank too.

I had to make a "roundie" adapter for my CR70 as well. If I remember correctly, my CR70 was bought new about 1992, and of course it didn't have the roundie adapter or the B/W older style base adapter.
