blaupunkt restoration

Okay guys, I looked at this radio and decided I am not up to it
It's a Blaupunkt Virginia...all the am/fm and Lf bands.
Tubes? ECC85, EF89, ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84, EM80 all telefunken. I might just send this off to a restoration place.
As a newbie to this restoration thing, should I start off with a simple am radio?
thanks,
md

For your first project, a good reliable 5 tube radio from the 1940s is an excellent start. Many of us (myself included) could walk you through that one. That's how I started out. I literally blew up a few of them not knowing the difference between a bypass capacitor and an electrolytic
