Here is an episode from the Twilight zone filmed in 1959 or 60 in Black and white, but in the scene from the United nations they have three tk 40 color cameras on set. Too bad Cbs didn't use those cameras to shoot the show!!

Watched it. More specifically, based on the copyright, it was filmed in 1961. Produced by MGM studios, in California, I assume. Also, I noticed two cameras. The one on the right of the set actually had cables that looked complicated enough to possibly be real. An interesting question for me is where did MGM come up with a set of seven-year-old TK-40's for use in TV (and movies?)...?

Here's a link to information on the production. There are three references to the TK-40's, in the *To Serve Man* production: a reference to 'cameras' in the UN scenes, a reference to the 'lens' on the left side camera, and the names of the actors who played the cameramen,

As to what happened to them, probably something like this (from another site): "During the 18-day auction of MGM props, costumes, and memorabilia that took place in May 1970...."

Several prop houses here in Hollywood had TV cameras for rent. Usually the RCA TK 10's and 11's as well as TK-40's and 41's as they became available. Some were the real mccoy and others were gutted to keep the weight down and some were just phoney mock-ups made out of wood. I assume some studios had TV cameras in their prop depts. as well.
