I need a driver board for a 9090 (not the DB version) - know of any? |

No, I'm sorry, wish I could give you one. I don't have any Sansui parts laying around. I'm in the middle of rebuilding mine for the 9090DB right now. That, and replacing the outputs. Your best bet would be to ask around on AK if you haven't already. The Sansui guys have been a great help to me anytime I've needed it. There was an "incident" involving a "friend" and a guitar that he was TOLD NOT to plug into the mic input......

The classic Sansui 9090's sound so good as they avoid any Darlington stages
and seem to have cascading emitter-follower topology. I've heard of them being used as a super headphone Amp w/ high end low mass dynamics phones. (maybe one could jump the series resistors to headphone socket for super damping?) I have some Sterling 200 headphones w/ vacuum deposited titanium diaphragm They were made by some breakaway engineers from Koss Corp. |

Yes, my Moto plays beautifully. But no, I don't have the schematic, I'd like to have one too. Sorry. LOL! This thread sure has derailed from Nippon Hoso Kyokai's (NHK) Super High vision HD. Which I think is cool in theory but I'm happy with regular old fashioned HD and SD

OT: The Sams for these tube Motorola's is 656-9 : $15 from Sams
-- or free from some libraries like downtown MPL (obtained). I see the MPX decoder uses two germanium Xistors ! |

And to think I bought an HD flat screen TV just over a year ago -- now, already, it's all but obsolete! Grrr. Oh well, I still have a VCR, which has been obsolete for some time since DVDs became popular and shoved VHS into the same category as eight track audio tape, audio cassettes, mechanical typewriters ...

4k comes alive with Sony's new 84" 4k TV
has more involving viewing experience when viewed close at ~10'. Less viewing fatigue than standard HD - looks more natural as they show 4k studio download of latest James Bond and other demo clips. created w/ special cameras |

$25,000, oh well, it wasn't that long ago that a 50" 1080p Plasma was $10,000 so like everything this will probably come down in time.
Nothing to play on it yet anyway is there? |
