First score in a LONG time.....

Picked up this nice CTC10 today. Has audio, but a very very dim picture. Picture tube tests like BRAND NEW! The cabinet I would rate as average, but the inside is the most spotlessly clean thing I've ever seen.

The kids wanted to get in the photo as soon as it came in the door

One shot of the inside. Barely a trace of dust.

Nice score indeed! I have forgotten, what was the purpose of the red stripe on the CRT? With low miles, I assume the CRT is OEM, right?

I assume that it is original, says RCA Colorama or something like that on the neck.....

If only I was bold enough to try and fix the damn thing. Color sets put the fear of God in me

Very nice, Tim. To the best of my knowledge, the CTC10 was the only set that used a 21CYP22A. The 9's used the less bright 21CYP22. As to the dim picture, the CTC10 used an NE2 neon lamp as a voltage regulator in the video amp chain. It's overdriven and requires replacement periodically, in my experience. And yes, it is 1960 vintage.

It's a beautiful set!

Hey Pete,

Think you could help out a dummy like me with the location of said neon lamp, what it looks like, and what to replace it with?

Speaking of which, wonder when the second set's cabinet will be done, hmmmm
