Shibaden SV-800UL Video Recorder/Monitor

I have stumbled across a Shibaden video tape recorder/monitor model SV800UL and am considering buying it to play with. I guess I would like to know what an example of this model is worth with excellent cosmetics but untested functions. Also, what type of tape can I use on it? I have done some research, although very little seems to be available on the internet, and it appears as though Shibaden didn't use a compatible system with anyone else's. Is this correct? Again, what's a fair price to pay and where would I get some tape? Anything else I should look out for on this model?

Thanks in advance.

Being this is sorta a "Pig in a Poke", don't get into it TOO much...What's your "Comfort level" of "Blowin' Money ?" $10, 25, maybe 50 bux ?

Thank you for the reply. I was feeling like it wouldn't be worth much more than your estimate, so the asking price of $95.00 will definitely get passed on by me. I thought it would be fun to play with, but I also thought I didn't want to put more in it than I could get out of it.

It looks really cool with the built in CRT monitor, but I really don't want to pay too much for it.

Thanks, again, I do appreciate any and all input on this since I have zero knowledge about this type of equipment.

Any other opinions or experience with Shibaden?
