'40's Truetone radio/phono ID?
I picked up this '40's Truetone radio/phonograph at the flea market and am trying to find the model number and determine who made the record changer.
From the sticker on the back of the set, I'm 99.9% sure that the radio chassis was built by Admiral. There is a penciled date written on the warranty sticker that looks like 1944; but, this was likely a service date, since no new radios were being made in the US during that time. The chassis is a standard AA5 with a electrodynamic speaker and I'm going to guess it was made in the early '40's. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a Sams for model D2642. The tube complement is the same but the record changer is different. The chassis layout is a bit different also but I'd bet the circuit is the same.
The penciled date on the label seems to be a build date, since the label says Truetone. |
