'63 GE H220A "hang on the wall" transistor radio

Here's my latest ebay purchase, a '63 GE H220A "hang on the wall" AM transistor radio that will operate on either AC or 4 "D" batteries. The only thing wrong with the radio was a dirty volume control; which, was easily corrected with control cleaner. This radio is built using modular construction. Three solder-in modules are used (converter, IF, audio) in this radio. Since the radio performs well and since this is a low voltage device with little fear of something burning up, I'm not going to worry about replacing the capacitors at this time. I've seen a lot of GE radios; but, I don't recall ever seeing this model before.

Here's a video, showing the inside of the radio:

I saw one of those at an antique store a few years ago. It was in pretty good condition and (if I remember correctly), sounded pretty good for a transistor radio. I would have bought it, but I think they were asking something like $50 for it, and I couldn't see spending that much on it.

A few years after GE came out with that model, Westinghouse built a wall clock with a small AM transistor radio inside of it. Every now and again, I see them come up on ebay.

I think the total for this one, including shipping, was $18 and some change and I was the only bidder. It's an interesting radio; but, I wouldn't have paid anywhere near $50 for it.

That's a new one to me; I have seen a similiar one from Silvertone, probably Arvin sourced.
