Feedline faults and full wave loop antennas.

G'day all, my 20 m loop antenna has a fault and I'm pretty sure that one of the joins on my balanced feedline is going intermittently open circuit!

One good thing about full wave loop antennas is that 'looking into the antenna' one sees a low resistance short circuit. Tonight I trotted out the DMM and the intermittent has gone permanently open circuit at the moment, at least.

Now I have to untape all joints and find the open circuit. Oh well, it should be reasonably easy to find, with any luck. Regards, Felix (vk4fuq) aka catman.

Felix, good luck with your antenna trouble shooting.

G'day mate, yes I found one faulty joint on the balanced feedline, and yes it was the last one I checked! Murphy always applies! Hi. Regards, Felix (vk4fuq) aka catman.
