1950's Crosley Clock Radio
Found this locally this morning. I'm not super sure of the model. Maybe an F-25?
Pretty amazing condition. It keeps time, and the radio sounds great. No cracks, scratches or gouges on the cabinet. Sleep timer. Alarm. I like it. |

That may be the same model as a green one I passed on a few years back

I think the clock was broken...I don't do clock repairs, only electronics so I passed.

I would have done the same. This was a woman's grandfathers's clock. So I guess its a grandfather clock. Seriously though, it could pass for new. No buzz when the volume is down, and when rotated a bit while tuning, the stations come in clear and with good tone. There's even an electrical socket on the back so a person can use the alarm to turn on appliances, like a coffee maker. 1950's innovation. |

I looks like a Telechron movement! It probably just needed a rotor. Easy fix!

I just noticed that I forgot to put the sleep knob on back on after I dusted and wiped it down.

Funny thing is that at twice the price of the "Crosley color clock radio" in the plain jane box , it likely has the exact same electrical components . It ain't the steak it's the sizzle .....

Oh , and I forgot to say , I do like the looks of it , nice score !
PS , aren't you the guy who asked me if I have a warehouse for a hundred or so sets ? It seems you've been on quite the buying spree lately , not that there's anything wrong with that as long as ya got the room for them all |

Every set in that ad except the one(s) with FM were probably the exact same AA5 circuit.

It's "V.I.P" that makes all the difference.

MY warehouse is not so large. I'm now forced to focus on smaller radios, or give up a console or two. which I'm not going to do. Small radios can occupy every nook, cranny, shelf, and alcove in my home. When that is full, some of the wife's crap will need to go. |
