Just acquired CTC10 w/remote
Over the weekend I took a nice little Sunday drive 975 miles worth to be exact. Got a nice 12lp4 that tests very strong, an old lawn mower for John Marinello, and a very pristine CTC10 with remote control for $50. I also picked up a nice 19" Zenith porthole from John.
Somebody must have loved this CTC10 set very much because they took very good care of it. Not a scratch on it and clean as can be inside and out. The guy who had it said he got it at an estate sale. The 21cyp22 crt appears to be the original and tests very good at about 650 with all guns within 3% on my B&K tester. The photos are washed out a bit from the flourescent light in my workshop. Image on the screen looks better than the photos. Have not tested any tubes yet, I suspect I will find some weak ones that will need to be replaced. I made some minor adjustments and it needs to be converged. I need to pull the chassis because the motor driven tuner is slugish. I suspect some lubricant will improve this issue. Now I need a CTC7 & CTC9 to fit in between the CTC4, CTC5 & CTC10

It's a beauty. I think you'll find it's a 21CYP22A, the brighter version. Did I say it's a beauty?

That model is the 211-CDR-90 Fairhaven. Nice set. I can;t wait till my non-remote CTC 10 211-CD-89 Hathaway gets here.

What a beautiful set. Someone must have really loved that one. The picture tube looks good and strong with a bright picture. I doubt it will take much to keep that one in shape.

CTC10 crt
You were right Pete.....it is a 21CYP22A It was manufacturered the 39th week of 1960.
And thanks to the rest of you for the nice comments. I have always liked the colonial/early American styled cabinets. Now if only I had a big enough home to have a tv display room. Maybe someday. Bob
