Similar high price scenario with the SRF59... decent radio, cult following, discontinued, few left on 'zon adds up to high price:

Yeah, I saw they wanted a hundred bucks for the 39. I think "Walkman" moniker helps these.

I did listen to the whole game on my ICF-S10MkII, and it stayed clean and clear with no drift during the 4-hour ballgame. Has decent sound for the size, not so tizzy-tinny as many devices these days. Handles RFI on AM pretty well, too. Probably because small and easy to quickly reorient.
