And to think I got mine for 25 and a replacement CRT for 20. My cabinet is in better shape. Anyone got a tuner knob (outer one)?

Amazing how even the possibility fraudulent advertizing claims isn't enough to get people to proof-read! A lot of people can spel betttre than yew wuld tink, they're just too lazy to go over what they write!

I bought one of these sets at a swap meet for $30. I restored it and put it on ebay. I was only able to get $250 for it.

Sellers who don't spell check are asking to be ignored by searching buyers - "souvenir" is so often misspelled in so many ways that it's useless as a search term. "Brochure" is another one. I'm sure we all know more examples.
BTW, as a school kid, I got a spelling certificate on which they misspelled my name! The teacher wanted to replace it, but I wouldn't let her - the irony was too delicious. |
