Openning Tray in dead Pioneer Laserdisc

Hello friends,

I am new here in VK web site, but not inside my own VK....:-). Any way, please your help.

I have a Pioneer CLD-99 laserdisc player whose power board burned out and obiously the player don't turn on. The disc tray is locked and it is just above of the power board so it do not permit removing it. I would like if someone can tell me what is the technical procedure in order to manually unlock the tray and thus be able to open it and have access to the power board of the equipment.

Thanks a lot.

Eduardo.

You will have to dismantle the player to access the transport gearing and manually spin the motor to unlatch it. These players were never designed to manually eject if the power failed.

There's a service manual here:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/91...er-Cld-99.html
and possibly elsewhere.

Hello, thanks kfrrca, I have service manual but problem is I was unable to find the unlock procedure. I remember that I saw this procedure in some place in the past but for other LD model. Procedure was about to move an gear just below the tray using a very long screwdriver. In CLD-99 this gear is not visible from outside, besides I dont know what would be its exact unlock position.
