The TS921 chassis is the last mostly tube color chassis Motorola made. It's simular to the TS914/918 series. I think the reference to the TS597 was a mistake, as all Motorola color chassis were 900 series.

well mine is a ets908 so i still dont know at this point how to identify the fly i have unless i find a sams folder on a set that uses the fly i have and i know there is no guarantee that the circuit will be close enough to use in my set. unrelated but an rca fly 126333 is this a number worth holding on to, i have a line on 5 flybacks 2 zeniths,1 rca,1 ge, 1 panasonic.

are your referring to the motorola fly being to much different, if so oh well if i dont succeed i must try, try again, lol, lol. well what the heck this set will only be on maybe an hour each week or so, so at that rate it should last a long time.its all set up and it does have a nice picture but not being able to have the bright all the way up and the left side of the screen being like there is a huge magnet twisting the image. when something runs into the path of the left corner then you can see it and also on the cross hatch pattern, all twisted. if i post a picture everyone would probably say its fine leave it alone, so i will at this point.

I've got a big-ass Motorola book with all schematics and parts lists covering everthing from the 19" roundie thru at least 1970. Here's what Motorola's original numbers are for flybacks....
chassis 902 24D734487 complete fly chassis 905 24D741542 complete fly chassis 907 24D67564A03 complete fly 24D67565A01 windings only chassis 907 model 21CK10 24D66876A01 complete fly 24D66877A02 windings only chassis 908- 24D66876A04 complete fly (chassis coded B-00 thru B-02 only) 24D66877A03 windings onlt (chassis coded B-00 thru B-02 only) 24D66876A061 complete fly (chassis coded B-03-1 & later) 24D66877A061 windings only (chassis coded B-03 & later) chassis 908E 24D67923A01 complete fly 24D66877A06 windings only chassis ETS-908 coded G-00 and later 24P65143A66 complete fly 24D67565B01 windings only chassis 912 24D66876A03 complete fly 24D66877A04 windings only chassis 914 24D67564A06 complete fly 24D67565A05 windings only chassis 915 24P65174A08 complete fly chassis 917 A & B 24D67564B01 complete fly 24D67565B01 winding only chassis 918A 24D67564B06 complete fly 24D67565A05 windings only

I would think that several of those Moto numbers cross over to the 399. Kinda funny really... some of those numbers are quite specific... only for certain chassis coded a certain way, or only for specific models using that chassis... but yet an aftermarket replacement would be will be the 399 for a good many of them.

My family ran one of those sets for a solid 10 years. I was repairing Tv's at the time, but I had very little exposure to working on that model. The ETS908 was the last run of that model. Probably the most reliable set at the time. I just looked at the schematic and found it to be extremely complicated, compared to a lot of the other makes. Just hang on to it. There's not a lot of them around.

well you know i am an auto tech and do this tv work in spare time and i thought the same of this set being complicated to but then again i dont have all that much experience with them. ill hold on to it since it does work well and the crt was replaced in 1980.
