the person I got them from just offered another one, an interesting one, this time it's a 1" IVC 700 Color recorder from 1972, also a box of new tape reels for it, old tape with content would be better but who's complaining.

Like this I guess, I may pick it up Monday.

Also offered is a Cartrivision tape, don't know if it's a blank or pre recorded.

Apparently Cartrivision was the first home video to offer pre recorded movies for home use. http://www.cedmagic.com/history/cartrivision.html

When I was in middle school (mid-80s) the teacher in charge of A-V had some pretty cool stuff tucked away, including one of those Sony open reel video decks, in working order. (he showed us a video with it one day) I've often wondered what became of that machine, and the table model Chromacolor he had it connected to.
